RESOLUTION
San Angelo Chamber of Commerce
Supporting Diversity, Inclusion and Equity in Our Local Business Community
WHEREAS, the Community of San Angelo has a long and rich history of ethnic, racial and cultural diversity, and
WHEREAS, the ethnic, racial and cultural diversity our community enjoys is an integral part of our city’s identity and a strong contributor to our quality of life, and
WHEREAS, the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce Mission is “Our members success is our passion” and,
WHEREAS the success of all chamber members and the community at large is enhanced through the vibrancy created by our ethnic, racial and cultural diversity, inclusion and equity and
WHEREAS the sustenance and growth of the diversity of our community will be enhanced through the proactive involvement of our local businesses, and
WHEREAS the strength and success of our local businesses will in many cases likewise be enhanced through increased stakeholder diversity
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Board of Directors of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce supports and encourages all community businesses to practice diversity, inclusion and equity in daily operations, hiring, development, and promotion decisions.
