Mission, Vision, and Core Values
In October 2021, all 15 staff members - including Chamber Membership Services, our Destination Marketing Organization, and our Economic Development Division - gathered together to identify our new Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and the Core Values that unite us.
After identifying our values, we defined each one of them collectively.
Mission
We passionately strive to develop a pro-business climate, drive economic growth, and promote travel and tourism through community advocacy, attracting visitors and industry, retaining and growing local businesses, and building a vibrant quality of place.
Vision
To be the trusted resource for relationship building, economic, travel, and tourism expertise and the key driver of business and community prosperity.
Core Values
After collectively identifying our core values, we defined each one of them to assist us on our journey to continue our goal to establish a values-based culture.
Teamwork
We depend upon each other as we drive towards common goals. We are open in our Communication, we Respect each other’s views, we strive to collaborate and seek Inclusion in our planning and execution, and we have fun working together.
Dependability
We build trust by holding ourselves and each other accountable to our commitments. We are reliable individually and as a team in all that we deliver to our community.
Integrity
We always strive to do the right thing. We are Honest in our communication, fair in the way we treat each other and diligent in terms of fulfilling our commitments. We are compassionate and this drives our commitment to serve others with empathy, respect and dignity.
Service
We are focused on the growth and well-being of people and the community in which we live. We strive to build our knowledge and skill as we focus on a mission that is continually centered on the needs of all our constituencies.
