The San Angelo Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering and promoting a business and tourism environment which assures the economic growth and well being of our members and community. Diversity in business and in our community is vital to this effort. We’re honored to be working with so many dedicated, passionate, and diverse businesses within our community.

The Chamber’s Diversity Committee focuses its full efforts, resources, and finances in developing an educated, well-trained, and knowledgeable diverse business community. Committee members work year round to communicate the importance of a diverse workforce. They also select and distribute awards for the Celebration of Diversity Awards luncheon.

In 2019, the Diversity Committee established multiple coalitions, each focused on a sector of minority owned businesses in our community. These task forces are committed to creating awareness about minority businesses, as well as hosting and promoting events, connecting minority business owners to valuable city resources, and promoting involvement in leadership opportunities.
