West Texas Legislative Summit

The West Texas Legislative Summit is an award-winning event which brings together hundreds of elected officials and business professionals from throughout West Texas. This event provides a forum for West Texas community representatives to spend a day addressing our common legislative priorities. Attendees can meet and greet legislators, business leaders, panelists, sponsors, and fellow colleagues.

The San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, along with honorary co-hosts with Texas Senator Charles Perry, and Texas Representative Drew Darby, will hold its 22nd Annual West Texas Legislative Summit on Thursday, August 6th, 2026.

This year’s Summit will focus on state issues with the overarching theme of “West Texas Horizon: Innovating for Opportunities, Grounded in Stewardship” and will offer insight on the following topics:

Rural Health Systems in West Texas
Nuclear Energy and the Texas Power Landscape
Digital Infrastructure, Energy, and Water Resources in West Texas
Exploring AI, Data Centers, and the Texas Energy Grid
Guiding Local Energy and Data Operations

Join us on Wednesday August 5th for the Summit Soiree—our signature welcome event for sponsors, panelists, and special guests. This year’s Soiree debuts an elevated new format, designed to spark conversation and connection in a relaxed setting. Enjoy an evening of gourmet-style hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails—all in a vibrant atmosphere perfect for mingling.
