There are two major unions that represent San Angelo employees;
Communications Workers of America
Verizon (1,400 employee company in San Angelo with several national
centers, a LiveSource Center, and administrative offices for West
Texas and New Mexico:. Approximately 800 employees are represented
by the CWA.
United Food & Commercial Workers
Ethicon (1,100 employee subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson manufactures surgical sutures). Approximately 700 employees are members of the UFCW.
