Customized Tours
at no charge, can be planned with an accompanying member of our staff or a member of the Concho Cadre. Tours can be agriculture-related, historical or include some of our city's unique shopping opportunities.
The Concho Cadre
San Angelo's unique, official host group is comprised of business, professional and community leaders. These special volunteers enable our CVB to provide a number of services included assisting at your registration desk when welcoming your guests and distributing materials.
An Evening at Old Fort Concho
is also available to your group. Start off your West Texas evening
with a welcome by uniformed soldiers at the largest and best preserved
Indian Wars Fort in the United States. You will be escorted through
some of the twenty-three original and restored fort buildings.
You'll hear tales of military exploits, see exhibits and crafts
depicting frontier life midst the furnishings and equipment of
an 1800's infantry barracks. Your evening entertainment can include
fine dining and a variety of music furnished by lively mariachis
or cowboy balladeers.
A Dine Around
highlights San Angelo's outstanding reputation of having more
steak houses per capita than any other Texas city. A "Dine
Around" can be a terrific way for your group to sample San
Angelo's best restaurants which serve up beef, lamb and a great
variety of ethnic cuisine.
A Reception At The Cactus Hotel, one of the first Hilton Hotels
in Texas, is one of San Angelo's most fascinating surprises. The
hotel displays a beautifully renovated lobby and reception area
reflecting Baroque and Byzantine styles of the 1930's. The Crystal
Ballroom is also available.
