Involvement
You can be part of the decision-making process that affects our entire community. Through committee participation and attendance at Chamber functions, you are helping to gain exposure for your business while helping your City to grow and prosper.
Advocacy
The Chamber is an advocate for your business. It is very important that appropriate attention be given to issues that affect our community and your business at the state and national levels. The Chamber leads that effort through its legislative affairs program. Chamber officials make frequent trips to Austin and Washington D.C. to remain abreast of issues that affect our region. Working with our Washington lobbyist, we are able to proactively pursue federal funding for community improvements. Recently, our aggressive efforts were rewarded when Goodfellow Air Force Base was spared from the base closure list. We will continue to work with our elected officials to pursue additional and expanded missions for our base.
The Annual West Texas Legislative Summit is an award-winning event which brings together hundreds of elected officials from throughout West Texas. This event, usually held in August, provides a forum for West Texas community representatives to spend a day addressing our common legislative priorities. Our goal is to do what West Texans have always done – pull together to thrive and prosper, no matter what the obstacle!

Tax Deductibility
Your membership dues to the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce are deductible as a business expense.
